Canada rescinds tariff on US made boats

o-CANADA-UNITED-STATES-FLAGS

Canada has lifted their tariff on American made powerboats!
The Order Amending the United States Surtax Order (Other Goods) was approved and registered earlier this week (registration #SOR/2019-111).  This Order amends the United States Surtax Order (Other Goods) to remove boats (tariff items 8903.10.00, 8903.91.00, 8903.92.00 and 8903.99.90) from the list of goods subject to Canada’s countermeasures against certain imports from the U.S., effective April 30, 2019.  As such, all boats imported on or after April 30, 2019, are no longer subject to surtaxes on a forward basis.

We have always valued our friendships with our Canadian neighbors.

Karcher Power Squeegee

The Karcher Power Squeegee; It does windows!

Definitely one of those gadgets you did not know you needed.  The Karcher WV1 Vacuum Squeegee.  It sucks the water off the glass as you wipe.

One of our American Tug owners showed me this device, I had just finished the Seattle Winter Boat Show where I had spent each morning detailing the cockpits of the boats prior to inviting another days group of show attendees aboard.  This would ease my morning ritual of using a chamois to rid the cockpit of the morning dew, towel drying the nonskid so folks did not get wet feet or track water into the boats, and removing excessive condensation from the pilothouse windows on very cold days.

It should work equally well on fiberglass or window glass, bonus for us boaters!

Karcher is a German manufacturer of high quality pressure washers, commercial and residential cleaning equipment.

Available from Amazon, click here.  About $45.
